How do I install quasardb on FreeBSD?

To install quasardb on FreeBSD:

  1. Verify your system meets the FreeBSD system requirements.
  2. Verify your system meets the Linux minimum requirements.
  3. Log in to https://download.quasardb.net/ with your credentials.
  4. Download the file named qdb-server-<ver>-freebsd-64bit.tgz, where <ver> is the version of quasardb you wish to install.
  5. Extract the tarball.

If your system does not have libc++ v1, the most straightforward is to install the sources and clang 3.2 (from the ports for example), and then do the following:

cd /usr/src/lib/libcxxrt
make
make install
cd ../libc++
make CXX=clang++
make install
